Product Details

In STARE! - the game - a blank stare won't do. You've got to be thinking while you gaze. In the freshly remixed Stare! Second Edition, this award winning game has gotten even better -- with all new images and larger cards. In this fun and unique game you are challenged to absorb and correctly recall as many details as possible about an image, but you only have 20 seconds - so you better make them count! Images are varied and interesting to look at. It might be a movie poster, old ad, comic book cover, work of art and more. When time is up, an opponent will flip over the card and ask you a series of questions about the image to see how much you can recall. Was the cat sitting on the chair or on the floor? What color was the woman's hat? Keep going, as long as you answer correctly. Guess right and move forward. This game also allows for different levels of play - experts try a 10-second time limit, novices try 30-seconds. Includes 1800 questions on 300 image cards, game board, sand timer, playing pieces, die, and instruction sheet.

  • This award winner has gotten even better - STARE! 2nd Edition has all new images & larger cards.
  • Stare at the image for 20 seconds, then see how much you can recall.
  • Play in teams or as individuals - it is great fun either way.
  • Includes 300 image cards with 1800 questions, game board, sand timer, playing pawns and die.
  • For 2 - 6 players (up to 18 players with teams). Ages 13 to Adult.

Furrowed brows and hearty laughter are the most likely outcome of this fun but challenging new game from Game Development Group. The object is to be the first to reach the end of the game board. "Been there, done that," you're thinking? Look again. In fact, stare hard--because that's the only way you'll get anywhere. Players (individually or in teams) must stare at an image on a card for 20 seconds. Actually, that's the "challenging" version. Depending on the relative level of masochism at the table, you can opt for the "almost impossible" version--stare for 10 seconds--or the "general" version, stare for 30 seconds (best if there are kids playing), and then answer questions about what you saw. It's not easy folks--just try to remember what color socks the man next to you on the bus was wearing this morning, or how many people were reading magazines. Of course, you weren't staring.... --Rachel Radway

Customer Reviews ::

Stare - Carley -
I bought this game because in acting class our teacher said that a good actor/actress is aware and observant of their surroundings and is able to recall their surroundings which helps place them in the feeling they wish to express (known as 'sense memory' and originally taught by Meizner). So I thought getting a game that forces you to observe and recall what you just saw would be good. And it is. Also, might as well keep your brain active. "A mind is a terrible thing to waste."
